In Penang, Jerusalem will focus on several projects in the multi-faceted approach of promoting, protecting and supporting breastfeeding. Initially, she will focus on researching various effective public health campaigns to help begin the launching of the WABA video expected to be released soon. With the completion of the video, it is hoped that differing regions and organizations can use this as inspiration while also increasing awareness to the general population. Additionally, several social marketing tools will be used to help increase communication and revive the WABA Youth Initiative such as Facebook, Twitter, the Weebly blog, etc. Another project includes developing breastfeeding material to present at conferences and workshops. Finally, she will also be assisting in preparing an advocacy statement to the UNDPD youth group. During her final week, Jerusalem will compile documents of the various events and projects to present to the WABA team.
We hope that she finds her experience with us interesting and worthwhile. WELCOME TO THE WABA NETWORK and WABA YOUth Jerusalem!!
